Are there any recommendations for a monitor specifically just for gaming, that are about $400-450.

I will be using a GeForce GTX 980 Ti and an Intel i7 6700k.

The games I will be mostly playing are Call of Duty Black Ops 3, Star Wars Battlefront, Fallout 4, CS:GO, and Batman Arkham Knight.

If you are using Nvida and are going to stick with them I would get a monitor with G-sync. They are expensive but, improve upon v-sync. From the games you will be playing I think it would benefit you. But, if you want to at any point in time want to switch the AMD then G-sync is useless and you would need a free-sync monitor. There is the Acer XB240H which is $360 US on Amazon.

Just any 24-27 inch monitor, either TN or IPS.

I would personally say that you should stay away from the brand AOC for monitors, they are not good, if you don't believe me search up experiences with people for their monitors. I would advice using Asus and benQ.

Ok, dude I am also looking forward into buying a gaming monitor and so far of my research I have picked out these monitors:
ASUS VG248QE, check it out on newegg its on big sale ( the best budget monitor and the best 24" monitor)
ASUS VG278HE, very good 27" monitor
Benq XL2720Z, in my opinion the best under 400, I recommend that you wait no longer and buy it off newegg, it's on a very good sale at a very good price. I mean from 500 bucks to 360 bucks, that's pretty darn good!
