What is the best board and DDR3 ram 4GB for £120

Hey everyone, for this christmas coming, i'm looking to upgrade my memory from my current 2Gb OCZ DDR2 memory to 4GB's of ddr3. My current board is a DDR2 only and I want to increase my overall performance, especially in games, and i have been told that more memory is a highly contributing factor of gameplay quality/ fps rates. I also need to get a new board to support the DDR3 capabilities. My current graphics card is an XFX HD4890 1GB card and I do not want to upgrade it. So if anyone could give me a good pair of 4gB DDR3 Sticks (preferably 2x2GB but it's not vital.) and a good LGA 775 board to support my Core 2 Quad 2.6GHz. Thanks!

My roommate has a ripjaws 1600, they seem to be good, I have a set of Gskill also, no problems

DDR3 isn't better than DDR2, just buy 2 more gigs of DDR2 same model.

Agree, upgrading from DDR2 to DDR3 isn't going to see huge performance increase.
Your current memory is 2GB, right? Simple, just add another 2GB of RAM, you will see performance increase...
