While I testing some games and trying to get the right settings for my system(GTA V and Shadow of Mordor) I noticed that MSI Afterburner tracks page file size and the line reached the top of the chart at almost 8 Gb. So I went to check the Windows configuration for the page file and found this:

Is this right? I have seen other PC's and the allocated size is always lower than recommended. Should I use a custom size with the recommended size?

I have 8Gb of RAM if that's of any help.

Solution
How much RAM do you have? Windows generally can set it up to the size of your RAM or more.

If desired, and you have 8GB or more....select Custom Size
Set it to 1024 Initial/max.

Wouldn't setting it to 1gb be a problem if the recommended it states is higher than that?
Another thing I have been noticing with MSI Afterburner is that page file usage always seems to be higher than RAM usage, shouldn't it be the other way around?

I've had my pagefile set at 1GB min/max for several years. Zero performance issues.
