Hello,

I own an DELL Inspiron 15 N5010 laptop and I have bought 2 x 4GB RAM: http://www.emag.ro/m...4/pd/D7Z7CBBBM/ only with a 1.5 voltage.

After I put them in, either I get the "IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL" error, or the computer restarts / shuts down just when the Windows logo appears, or it beeps 4 times, consecutively, and the display turns off.

I have tried to update the BIOS to the latest verios, barely, because my battery is not functional.. so I've tried with an USB flash drive, and it seems the installation was successful, but I'm not sure about it :).

A friend said that 1600hz RAM will work even if my motherboard supports less.

Have I bought the RAM for nothing, are they not compatible with my laptop?
I barely had the money to buy them, are there no chances for them to work?
Any answer would be of great help.

Thank you and have a nice day!

If you have the original memory, then install that back and see if it works with it. If it works, then install one of the 4 GB ram and check what message you get. The same way try all the four possibilities of getting the ram detected without an error, by installing the one ram at a time in either of the slots, individually.
