Hi. yep that s my problem...my native screen resolution is 1280x1024

i set up directx 9 games like csgo or l4d 2 in 16:10 (1280x800) with horizontal black borders so i can get a better broader view but recently i started playing "the witcher 3" and dota 2 (directx 11) and my resolution graphic setting is not working on these 2 games in fullscreen.

i tried changing in nvidia control panel my desktop resolution to 1280x800 and still shows the image full vertical stretched without horizontal black borders how i used to play games.

i would like to make a screenshot but some reason in the pic the resolution is fixed (1280x800)...
Help me pls.

my pc card
monitor dell 1905FP (analog)
nvidia gtx 570
windows 10

sorry for my english is not my 1rst language.

Solution
In order for your resolution to be a true 4:3 the resolution needs to be 1280x960. As 1280 divided by 4 times by three is not equal to 1024, but 960. Hence the explanation of the black bars on either side of the screen. This however will slightly stretch the screen vertically, but nowhere near as much as the aspect ratio of 16:10.
