Bcd Repair - The requested system device cannot be found - windows 10

My computer was on sleep mode and my sister plugged it off. I restarted my computer to see that an error message said " you pc needs ti be repaired " and something abour rhe boot configuration data being missing. So i researched and found a tutorial on how to fix the bcd. i typed "bootrec rebuildbcd" on cmd from the windows recovery media advanced options and came up with
"Scanning all disks for Windows installations. Please wait, since this may take a while... Successfully scanned Windows installations. Total identified Windows installations: 1 [1] D:\Windows Add installation to boot list? Yes<Y>/No<N>/All<A>:"
I typed in "yes" however it said "the requested system device cannot be found." Unfortunately i cant find the solution to this ! Any help???????

The boot rebuild function may need to be accessed from a restore dvd for windows. It can fail on usb, if that helps. It sounds like it registered the wrong letter to the windows partition, or wrong partition altogether. Although this is for 7, it is a similar problem:-

Someone suggests a fix along the lines of
    bcdboot.exe D:\Windows /s C:

When I can't log in or if I mess my system up I usually connect the system up to another device to recover my files and reinstall, but that's not what you want. For some people that cannot get their system running hirens boot cd can be useful but I think some of its software may rely on the command prompt interface. Perhaps someone else on here will be able to give you more accurate solution. It can be awkward when you cannot log in. When you can, there are tools that can help fix boot errors such as EasyBCD
or recover hidden partitions (probably unnecessary with this problem you have)
