I've recently built my new pc and it's been running fine for a week.
Although recently it's been running incredibly slow.
After looking around for what it might be I realised my Memory usage is 96% with nothing open.
I've looked through all the processes, there's nothing unusual everything is working fine. It's a hidden process taking up my 7.6gbs of 8gbs of Ram. I've looked around for solutions and nothings worked. Ran a simple avg virus check. Nothing.
Pls help!!

Its called Superfetch. If you don't want it running you can do this:

Press (windows key + R).
type in "services.msc" (without quotes)
look for the service called "Superfetch"
once you find it double click on it to bring up the properties window.
In that window press the "Stop" button.
To prevent it from starting again set the startup type to "Disabled" and hit "Apply" and restart your PC.

I think its hidden too, It seems to be up and down. I think its always been like that, that hasn't really caused any issues as far as I know

have you installed anything sketchy lately? that seems very odd to just randomly start popping up..

are you using a legit version of windows? i know its common practice to just crack when you are low on $..

100% legit version.

Nothing that I know of. I've only really just downloaded stuff off steam.
Would it be worth me running after virus scan with something better? What would you recommend?

I haven't had steam running at all. Its just at 100% memory at normal.
