Disk Cleanup won't empty Recycle Bin

Hello,

I just did a clean install of Windows 10 Pro 64-bit along with all the updates and my various applications. When I run Disk Cleanup it indicates that there are 0 bytes in the recycle bin even though it is not really empty. When I then start the cleanup it does not empty the recycle bin. However, emptying the recycle bin by selecting from its right-click context menu works fine.

Thanks,
Ray

Can't really help ya as we are still recommending a "Hold" on Win 10. Tho I will add that I haven't used disk clean up in ages as aftermarket utilities like Steven Gould's CleanUp (my kids favorite) and CCleaner automate it and seem to involve less checking of boxes each time you use it.

Might wanna try one or the other

Hi,

That actually is weird, but seems like it could be part of the bugs that Windows 10 has. Please do run Windows Update and install any important update there is. Next is to uninstall conflicting software like CCcleaner from your PC. Hopefully this will solve the issue.
