Hey, I'm new to computer Building and was hoping to get your opinion on this build(Mid-way gaming):

Intel Core i5 6500 3.2Ghz 6MB Cache s1151 - Box

Motherboards for Intel: Gigabyte GA-Z170X-Gaming 3 LGA1151, Intel Z170, DDR4, 3xPCI-E,
VGA, DVI, HDMI

Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x8GB DDR4 2666Mhz CL16 Kit

VGA Cards :EVGA GTX950 Superclocked+ ACX 2.0 2GB GDDR5 DVI HDMI 3xDP PCI-E

Hard Disk: Western Digital Scorpio Black WD7500BPKX 750GB 7200RPM

Solid-State Drives (SSD): Corsair Force LS CSSD-F120GBLS-BK 120GB SSD Sata III MLC Retail

Power Supply: Corsair 550W Active PFC 80+ VS550 PSU

Case: Corsair Carbide 400R Mid-Tower Case No PSU

We don't use dollars here, but roughly it sums up to be about 1250USD

Also, any tips and advice regarding anything with computer building will be helpful

Opinions?
Thanks!

Thank you for the advice,

What are the differences between the two motherboards?
which is more crucial- the GPU Upgrade or the power supply?

also, the HDD- will it make a lot of difference if i switch to 5400rpm?

The main chip on the board is slightly different . The H models perform identically to the Z models .
Z models are for use with processors that end with a K . If you have those things you can easily overclock the processor . Since you have a non K processor there is no point paying for a Z series motherboard

Look for any 450 watt 80+ bronze [ or better] power supply .
Does that leave money in your budget for a GTX 960?

You should be looking for 3.5 inch 7200 rpm hard drive

EVGA GTX960 SSC ACX 2.0+ 4GB GDDR5 DVI HDMI 3xDP PCI-E

Western Digital Caviar Blue WD10EZEX 1TB Sata III

Corsair 500W Active PFC Modular 80+Bronze CX500M PSU

How's that?
