Can i have 2 hard drives of different brands for my PC? just normal hard drive setup. Not raid or anything like that

I have a samsung hd501lj and was thinking of getting for example the
Seagate ST3750640NS. I might of got the samsung again but looks like they aren't available now or for new anyway.

These are sata 2 3gb/s hard drives. Its for my computer that i've had for probably 5years+ .

Can i have 2 hard drives in my PC that are of different brands? Will they work fine.
