IPS vs TN: which wins out for "professional" gaming?

So I finally finalized my build. The last piece of the puzzle is to choose a monitor!

Originally I was leaning towards tn panels for the faster refresh rates; however, it came to my attention that you can actually get the 144 refresh rates on a ips monitor.

So what is better? The only difference now seems to be response time, and I'm not sure if that is "important" enough to just the loss in color clarity.

I plan on getting a g sync monitor regardless of what version I go with.

I want the best possible gaming experience.

Build below for reference!

Thank you for your assistance.

There's no other monitor in the world that's better than Eizo FG2421 when it comes to gaming.

Yes, you can buy a 144 Hz IPS, but no 1080p panel exists, because if it did, it would break the market and nobody would buy TN panels anymore. The only difference is not response time, IPS and TN are equal in terms of response time, and input lag. TN panels are worse than IPS across the board. The only valid argument against IPS are the obvious defects, such as glow, bleed and clouding.

GSync is a gimmick mostly, avoid it unless you really want it, as you will pay premium for a product that's got GSync installed.

All the best!
