I'm getting a second monitor soon and I want to know how I connect it to my graphics card before it arrives. My asus GTX 770 comes with 1 DVI- I and 1 DVI -D.

I have my current monitor plugged into the DVI-I using a VGA to DVI- I adapter.

How do i connect my second monitor to the DVI-D port?

Solution
Yes, each display output on your GTX 770 can support its own monitor. You just need to hook it up like I described above, and you'll be good to go. Have fun!

Yes to both.

VGA is too old for a gtx 770 unless you have a very old monitor, from like 1985-1992. If you have the option of using HDMI, then definitely use it. As for your second monitor, that cable will work just as well as the one I linked you. Either is fine.
