Looking for help picking a monitor for a new workstation/pc build

I think I have gotten everything narrowed down and now I am having second thoughts about the monitor. I have a budget of 1700 which I have maxed out. I work as an architect and will be rendering, 3d modeling, and using cad. I also will use it as a personal computer for gaming, movies, ect. Originally I was thinking of using this one:

Thanks for the idea but a little too much for me at the moment. I am probably going to stick with the one I've got after some of the looking around I've been doing.

Yeah the ASUS VN248H-P is a good monitor and I was gonna show this to you, comes with IPS and all for an affordable price. Go for it!
