Hey im running win 10 on this pc atm and just bought an ssd, is it possible to just install a new copy of win10 on the ssd and change the boot device? and if so how? the win10 Iso isn't letting me choose an install drive/partition

Solution
You can't 'install' the OS from one drive to the other.
It needs to boot directly from that install media.

USB drives are cheap. Go get one.

You have the OS running on a different drive?
And you purchased an SSD?
And you wish the OS to be on the SSD?

OK...

Where did this Win 10 come from?
Something you purchased and installed, or Upgraded from something else?

What size drives are we talking about?
How much used space is on the current drive?

From the Win 10 ISO...create a DVD or USB install media. Use this: Windows USB/DVD Download Tool, or the MediaCreation Tool. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

Disconnect all drives except the SSD
Boot from that install media
Install....

No.
It needs to boot from DVD or USB.

OK...lets back up a bit. What exactly are you trying to do?
What do you have, and what do you want the end state to be?

i have an HDD with win 10 installed. also in the same system i have a blank SSD, i want to get win10 on my SSD without losing all my files on the HDD.
as of right now i dont have an optical drive or usb big enough for the iso. I do however have the iso and means to mount it in a virtual drive if that helps.
