Ok so I'm building a custom gaming PC and my question is peoples opinions on the EVGA GTX 960, 4GB version versus the EVGA GTX 970, or if there is a better one on the market for less than £300. I've looked at the specs and, including the price, the gtx 960 was starting to look like the better option although looking on some review sites, the gtx 970 was rated higher. So what is everyone elses opinion? And are there any others out there that can be classed as better for less than £300?

If you are alright with AMD the R9 390X comes in at just under £300. At the moment nvidia cards are handled better by games but are still out preformed by their radon counterparts. The support for the radon cards will only get better increasing the advantage over nivida and future proofing your PC with 8GB of VDDR5 ram
