new samsung 27E390H monitor for gaming, too dark ...

I just bought this today .when im playing my games there too dark..way too noticeable..on i have a gtx 970..and i was messing in the control panel part but i was wondering if theres a good profile too use? the colors are great but its bad and i know im doing something wrong? any help? contrast? the monitors brightness is 100 so somethings amiss.

games specifically morrowind all new mods in the game..doom3, i know they are dark games but this new monitor is worse than my old generic monitor and i just switched and the old monitor was fine with brightness.
