Uptab DP to HDMI 2.0 4k60hz not working as advertised (shocker I know)

Bought a Radeon r9 390. I am running this card to a Samsung JU6500. Bought the Uptab adapter that claims to convert DP to HDMI 2.0 at 4k60hz. Long story short it did not. I hooked my 980 ti (main rig) up via HDMI and it ran at 60hz (as it should) . I used the Uptab adapter on the 980ti and it only ran it at 30hz, with no option of anything above that. Ergo my amateur opinion is that the Uptab adapter is the issue. I was wondering if anyone else has had similar issues, or if possibly I am missing something which is likely because I don't know much about this stuff. Perhaps I need to wait for another adapter to come out? Or perhaps I should try to sell my r9 390 and just buy a GTX 970 for my backup rig which is hooked up to my TV. My frustration is beyond words!

Seems the first uptab worked, but they changed something and now they don't, but club3d has their mini-dp one out and the full sized dp coming out soon.

AMD is supposed to be embracing hdmi 2.0 in 2016.

Interesting... Really kicking myself for going with the 390 and not the 970 right now. Guess I'll just have to wait for club3d.
