Dull washed out colours on Asus Laptop

I recently purchased an Asus Zenbook UX305LA with Windows 10 installed.
Anyway, so i have a desktop PC and the colours on windows 10 look very vivid and just nice to look at. When on my laptop, the colours don't match. Is there anything i can download to fix this, or is it just a hardware problem?

Do try to calibrate the display of your laptop and see if it will do the trick.

If these will not work try to do a clean install of the graphics card driver.
- Go to Device Manager and uninstall the graphics card driver (AMD or NVIDIA)
- Open Programs and Features and uninstall anything related to your graphics card.
- Download and install the latest driver there is from the manufacturers site.

AMD: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download
- Once the latest driver has been installed do reboot your laptop.

Another test you can do is to connect an external monitor (the one you're using with your Desktop) and see if the same problem will persist because if not that means it's the display that has the problem.
