A monitor to motherboard\graphics card question...

Hello, all. I'm using a BenQXL2430T Monitor with dual MSI GTX 970 Gaming 4G videocards (SLI). My question is this: Why is the only working connection the HDMI port on my second card? Nothing else works; not the HDMI on the primary card\motherboard or the DVI on either card\motherboard. All I get is a blue flashing screen with 'No Signal Detected'. This is extremely frustrating because the DVI hookup worked perfectly fine on the motherboard before I installed the video cards, and now I can't get it back. Thoughts and recommendations would be much appreciated!

your first card's HDMI port is probably broken.
do you have another computer you can test it in?

if it doesnt work after the test, you can probably send it to MSI, and as long as you didnt break your warrenty, they will fix it.
