I am running a:
GTX EVGA 970
Amd Fx9590 water cooled
1000 watt PSU
750 Gb Toshiba HDD
Gigabyte 990 Fx mobo
8 Gb Ram

My computer keeps freezing. I have noticed it is primarily during loading screens, and my computer will completely freeze. The freeze stops all sound and control of my mouse and keyboard and requires a button reset. It is very aggravating and I believe it may be a memory issue. Also, the sata cable doesn't click into place on my HDD, but it stays in place.

Solution

Oh, yeah. time for a new hdd.

No, but it is more frequent in loading screens, to the point I try to alt + tab out of games when they load. On the other hand it will still freeze during gameplay. Just earlier I was playing Killing Floor 2 and it froze. I thought , maybe it was graphics intensive games or online, but I froze playing CS:GO with bots.

Okay. start a game with task manager in the back ground. play it for a little while, then tab out and see if any of your resources maxed out or almost maxed out.

Does it affect anything that I have 2 monitors?

It shouldn't, although it could make you run out of vram more easily.

Ok, sorry, I had to run an errand. I'm going to be watching the memory usage right?

The highest anything is getting is my Ram at around 60%

I finally got it to freeze again, because it didn't want to when I wanted it to. There is one thing I think is worth noting: All the icons from my second display where moved back to my primary when I rebooted.

No but I figured it might be the HDD. It was a stock HDD with the ASUS computer mine once was. Considering I am fortunate enough to run most games at high or ultra it may be asking to much for the hardrive to spit the information out fast enough.

Maybe, you can try defragging it.
