I make gaming videos and I'm currently switching to pc gaming from the xbox 360 (so glad I did it). I already have my computer built, but I'm not satisfied with the keyboard I already had. I'm looking for one that is not loud: that's a huge deal to me. One that will is reliable, will last, is either wired and ps2 or usb, can also be comfortably used for everyday typing, and costs around $100 or less. I haven't used mechanical keyboards that much, but it seems like quiet mechanical ones don't exist. Can anyone please give me any recommendations, especially those of you who are streamers/ YouTubers? I'd like to buy it off of amazon, if possible.

You can always get the Steelseries APEX [RAW], it's <$60 and fairly quiet (as far as keyboards not made to be quiet are). There' also Razer keyboards that end in "stealth" which have mechanical keys that are a bit more in the quiet section than normal mechanical keys.

They break down the kind of mechanical keys available in this article. It will help you decide on a type of key to narrow your search of keyboards. Should you decide to go with a mechanical, which will always be louder but I don't know what you consider too loud, there is always this.

They're little o-rings that go under your keycaps to dampen the clickety clack of the mechanical boards.
