I recently downloaded an application that switched my primary search engine to yahoo. Now, yahoo is just about as bad as it could be. I went through what seemed would fix it, going through settings to change the search engine. This did not work, I can set another search engine as the primary, but the new search engine will appear for a second but it will switch it back to yahoo. Settings says that my search engine is google, but using the search bar will use yahoo, which is unbearably slow for my compute

I presume you've followed up on a guide similar to this one?

If not then following up on the opensearch compatibility comment I'd ask you to read through this guide and follow the steps to see if your search engine is bound to Google on Edge.

Similarly can you delete your addition of Yahoo in the settings options?
