Those choices are not very good. FX is over 3yrs old, and on a dead platform. The motherboard wouldn't be suitable, for that CPU even if that was not the case. That PSU is not a quality unit, either.

For CPU, since you are looking at microcenter, an i3 or i5 bundled with a compatible motherboard. In many games, even an i3 is superior to FX 8320. GTX 950 is a bit faster, similar in cost, uses less power, and supports a higher level of DX12, than a 270x.

I got PSU down, thanks for the tier list.

Is there a benefit to using an i5 over an i3? I have seen performance tests of the FX and the i3, but I went along with the fx because I was on a $500 budget. I'm thinking I can spend a bit more ($550 - $600).

I guess it's my personal preference.

Paired with up to a GTX 960/R9 380, the gaming performance difference, for the most part, is minor. Crysis 3 being one of the oddballs, probably due to it being more multithreaded capable, than most.
