How do I add a Windows 10 Computer to a home network?

Hello,

I try to set up a home network. I started with my personal Window 7 computer, and I want to add the living room computer which runs on Windows 10. How can I do that?

go to start button..settings....network....homegroups...make a homegoups....use the same network name as the other pc. turn on file and print sharing and a password and it should log on on next reboot.

The way microsoft wants you to do it: homegroup (you can likely google it and find instructions how it is set up or even windows help could know it)
Create homegroup in either computers network settings and join said homegroup on other.
That is it, on the paper.

In the event that joining fails:
Some suggestions on the internet involve:
Remove ALL computers from homegroup, shut down ALL of them, start one, create homegroup, start 2nd one, join homegroup and so on.

If that doesn't work as you want, It would help if you would go into more detail about what you want to share between the computers and possibly how.
