Hey everyone,

so im going for an almost entirely new build with a total budget of arround 1300€ and im looking for some opinions on what i've came up with.

Cpu: i5-6600k
Gpu: R9 390 (sapphire nitro)
Motherboard: Asus Z170 PRO GAMING
Ram: G.Skill Ripjaws 5 DDR4 3200 CL16 (16GB)
Psu: Corsair Rm1000i (the reason for this is a future xfire of r9's)
SSD: Samsung evo 500gb
Cpu cooler: Be Quiet Dark Rock TF

All of this inside my old good NZXT Phamtom.

Also im looking to upgrade my 23" to some 24" 144hz monitor, probably BenQ XL2411Z, but not quite sure about this (finding a good monitor is a pain).

Thanks in advance : )

Since you can now overclock the locked Skylake CPU's on Asrock motherboards, I would go that route to save some money. Also, The RAM performance with Skylake doesn't scale well past 2666, so I would cut back there.

Price is the same on those GSkill for 16GB (you are showing just 8GB and i belive 16 will be a must in the near future), will the 2666 perform better?

Thanks for the info on asrocks :)

It won't perform better, but the increase in bandwidth would not be worth the extra cost. Honestly, most people wouldn't notice the difference in day to day use between 2133 and 3400 mhz RAM. It might make a difference if all you did was editing and rendering, but for gaming, no.
