Hey all,
Just got a ROG swift PG279Q and noted some backlight bleed.

Now I see a lot of folks mentioning it and it appears to be a common issue with led monitors and also noted with particular brand.

My question is how much is too much and what is to be expected.

Just seeing if I should return this monitor or not.
Thanks

If your monitor is like the one on the left then that is obviously backlight bleed along the panel's top center edge. IPS glow will usually vary with viewing position while backlight bleed will always be visible. Backlight bleed would be considered a manufacturing defect so you should be able to exchange it.
