I want to build a skylake pc for gaming and I decided to buy the intel i5-6500 because I don't want to overclock it. and for the motherboard I want an asrock or gigabyte, but can't decide between these two boards, do I need a z or h series motherboard for this cpu?

One more question about the motherboard, if I go with the z170 the ram slots are color coded so I know where to put the two 4gb ram sticks to get the best performance but the h170's ram slots aren't color coded, so how do I know where to put the ram sticks for best performance?

in terms of ram I was looking for g skill or corsair and I found these

the only difference is the speed of 2133 or 2400, I've heard that non k cpu's can't handle 2400 ram, is this true? which ram should I get and in the specifications for these rams it says the chipset is z170/x99 does that mean it won't work with the h170? I can't find ram that says it's compatible with h170 and ddr4?

1 - i'd go with the mATX which happens to be ASRock. either H or Z is fine, but mATX gives you more case options.
2 - ram slot colours don't matter. RTFM. read the f'n manual.
3 - get 2400 since it just gives you more "safety margin" and if you ever want to move it to a different build, it's better
