I noticed that when I turned my computer on this morning the resolution was stuck in 1024x768. I thought it would be a simple fix by just increasing the resolution in windows, but it only gave two options.
One was 1024x768, and the other was an even lower resolution. I also noticed that in windows device manager it shows up as a generic non-pnp monitor. The monitor used to show up as an Asus VE248H.

I am also trying to figure out how to update windows 10 as it gets stuck in an automatic repair loop every time I try to install updates. This forces me to reset windows and have to lose all apps I had installed.

Any help on either problem would be appreciated, thank you.

I tried to do this yesterday with no luck, when I reinstalled the driver it still saw it as Generic non-pnp and wouldn't let me up the resolution.

I'm only commenting since I'm also a bro called Joe from 96

Have you tried hooking your pc up to a different 1080 display? Just to see if anything is up on the monitors end
Seems weird that reinstalling your drivers didn't fix the resolution problem

I don't have another 1080p monitor that I can hook up but I just tried to plug it in to a laptop and it didn't even detect that an HDMI was connected. I think it may be the monitor but I want to be sure before I spend another 200-300 on a new one.
