desktop computer crashing while playing graphics-intensive games

my desktop computer is having a problem where when i'm playing minecraft, or a graphics-intensive game, it will run fine for a while until the monitor signals shut off, blasts the fans FULL SPEED, and continues to restart. I'm running windows10, my graphics card is an nvidia gtx zotac 760, 8gb ram, and i've been playing these games for a while and it just started today. The only thing that is different now is i got a new razer mouse.

EDIT: I think that it is over-heating, but it hasn't done this before. I have it dual-booted with KUbuntu so I'll be doing things on there to see if it's windows or my pc.

im guess that from you saying that you get black screen crashes, that you have an amd card right?
