Micro stutter issue in games

I have an ACER X193W 19'' monitor, and it worked fine when I used my default built in graphics card in my motherboard. But I recently bought a GTX 960 and now I get massive micro stutter in games that I used to play without it. And now I notices faint bars/waves going up my screen when I play my games shwoing the pixels update. Can someone verify this? thanks.

Well to start with I did find that a display port adaptor from my GPU too my display fixed many of my problems on my new set up and I did have lots of micro stuttering
