Java JRE Installer doesn't run

Hello all,

I have been attempting to install java using the installers. However, whenever I run the installer, the UAC interface appears, which I accept, and then nothing happens. I have tried:

• 
  Disabling Windows Defender
  Disabling UAC
  Disabling my firewall
  Using older installers (I have also tried both 32 bit and 64 bit versions)

I am running Windows 10 64 bit. I can open other installers, but not Java.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Have you tried installing them under compatibility mode?
Right click installer>Properties>Compatibility Tab>Windows 7/8 [from the drop down menu]

I'd also ask you to perform a repair install and then try to install Java. Might I ask why you'd like to sue Java? The plugin has been dropped from support on both Chrome and EDGE but you can yet install it on EDGE.

Thanks for the input, but neither of those have worked for me.
I need java in order to use Android Studio.
