Why is my downloaded Kali iso image a .RAR file?

So I am doing a duel boot with windows 10 and Kali Linux and I downloaded two things: Win32 Disk Image and the actual direct Kali iso, but the iso is compressed and can only be opened with WinRAR.

It is also good to note that I am following a youtube guide here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KLj2yQPWZDk

So why is that? Do I need to unzip it and download some other software to compress the files back to an ISO? Or better yet do I just ignore the fact that it is compressed and then write it on my USB? I am confused because in these tutorials it does not show the file as being compressed like a .RAR file, rather it shows it as being like a golden disk. What am I doing wrong, or should I just burn the .RAR looking ISO?

I got the ISO from the official site:

OK, So I downloaded that, just to check. (I've used Kali before)
It comes in as a single ISO file.

Possibly your system is set to automount an ISO?
  9. huh, Ill try doing it on my new windows 10 machine. I am just wary because i don't have anti virus yet but i should be fine.
  10. ok on my 10 machine i got the same thing as yoyu and not a WinRAR archive file. So now I just burn this single iso to a usb and boot from that right? Uk not including the disk formating and what not
