Unable to use max resolution with 2 monitors different res on Targus docking station

I have a dell E2715HM (DVI-D) and an LG 29UM57 (HDMI) connected to a Targus docking station and my Lenovo X1 Carbon Laptop with the 2560 x 1440 display screen.

I am not able to have the LG use its maximum resolution and it caps me out at 1920 x 1080 when also using the Dell on the docking station.

Is there a way to use the LG at maximum resolution while having the Dell connected as well?

Any solutions would be much appreciated.

Try to update BIOS, maybe that will fix it. Also, try to install monitor software to your LG.

Don't know a lot about multiple monitors, but according to the sticky, all of the monitors must share a common resolution
So if your highest common resolution in each monitor is 1080p, then all your monitors will display 1080p
