I have a GTX 760 4GB video card and i was wondering if I could use it to play games at 2k resolution and which monitor would be best for it? because the Asus Rug pg279q is best with a GTX 960 and higher! thank you in advance for the support :)

It won't be unplayable, you just won't be playing on ultra. Here's a random newer review that includes a 760 although the 2gb version. Plenty of game benchmarks and they are all maxed settings unless specified. Looks like a lot of the games sit around 25fps at 1440p so expect to play on med-high with decent fps. That is far from unplayable.

That helps me a lot thank you! but what about the second question do you know anything in regards to which monitor would be best for a GTX 760! or will it be best just to get a new card and monitor?

I assume you have 1080p now so just stick with that unless you get a new card too. If you are looking at the pg279q, it doesn't make any sense to get a $700 monitor and have a gpu that costs a fraction of that which can't even take advantage of it.
