Hi, i want to build my first gaming pc but i do not really know where to start nor what parts to get, so i would like for you guys to help me out and recommend me some builds. I want this PC to be able to Max out on Most if not all big name title Games and MMO's like The Witcher 3, Battlefield Series and so on... I want it to be watercooled and have good airflow. An i7 6th gen processor is preferred (*i know a lot of people may disagree and tell me that an i5 would be enough and far cheaper but i really want the i7*). A Geforce 970 or 980 is a must. I really want this PC to be a BEAST! : D

My Budget is $1000-$1400

I do not plan on doing SLI or OC on anything.

It would be nice if you guys could use pcpartpicker that way i can see the pc parts there and also buy it if i want from the links. http://pcpartpicker.com/
-I also have a Dust problem in my house so things get dusty pretty fast so just bear that in mind when helping me build my PC :).

Thank you! :)

I posted on this forum the other day about buying a pre-built PC but i have decided that building one would be far more rewarding and also cheaper :).

okay so i just want to say first of all , its a very smart decision to build a PC :D , secondly i hope this build fits your needs , its a price for performance PC and it should run the witcher 3 on maxed setting at 1440p on 60+ fps and thirdly i put in a i5 cose like u said if you are not editing videos and just gaming an i5 will bring almoust the same performance at a lower price. I spent like 30 minutes trying to take of the 150$ that i got extra XD , so i hope you enjoye the build if you like it and may ur framerates be high and your temperatures low

Generally, water cooling is not needed for a locked processor, the stock would do well. Try to invest most of your amounts on better parts.

Looks like, Even if you afford it it's a waste of money if you don't need it. You're paying for something that you're not using.. If you're looking to play games, an i5 is more than enough for you.

I usually clean my own desktop twice a month. Yes, you cannot prevent dust, but a proper maintenance is required. The more you clean up the dust's the more airflow you will get.

I would like know more information about your requirements: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/353572-31-build-upgrade-advice

Well for the screen it does not really matter as i already have one which is 1080p but i think i want to buy a 2k 1 or whatever the one above 1080p is called (not 4k) for the OS i love windows 7 but i know that in time windows 10 will probably be the standard in gaming. And that is all, thank you! :)

Since you already got one, there is no reason to spend more on a 2K display. That will unfairly eat up your budget and you may not get the best things which are in reach. All you need the necessary parts which you don't have. This setup will kinda hold a long run.

The 980 ti is a 4K performer :http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/msi_geforce_gtx_980_ti_gaming_oc_review,25.html
At 1080p, keeping everything maxed out it will run like dream.

I changed the build up a little bit, tell me what you think :). http://pcpartpicker.com/p/dB7F7P

I really wanted a i7 6th gen so i swapped out the 980 ti for a 970 as i heard they are just about the same. i also added a CPU cooler.

Thank you!, mm yea there is a difference but if i add the 980 ti i may go over budget. Can you check my build and change some things that you think may be better while staying in budget? while keeping the i7 6th gen without the (k) :)?

It is a good build but i just want to change some things as i stated in my OP that i wanted to keep the i7, and i also had to add a cpu cooler to that build and so i am just changing some things around to get the price right while having the best parts.

If you want 1080p, EVERYTHING maxed out (ultra settings) and more than 60 fps? No, won't happen with the 970. At least not in the AAA games (GTA V, Witcher 3, etc.)

There's honestly nothing that can be done. Everything in your build is fine and unless you up the budget, you're going to have to stick with the i7 and 970 or i5 (Not really much difference in gaming) and 980 Ti
