Does it pay to use MB O.C. Spec DIMMS if not overclocking?

For example:
Support for DDR4 3866(O.C)/3733(O.C)/3666(O.C) /3600(O.C.) /3466(O.C.) /3400(O.C.) /3333(O.C.) /3300(O.C.) /3200(O.C.) /3000(O.C.) /2800(O.C.) /2666(O.C.) /2400(O.C.) /2133 MHz memory modules.

I don't overclock but I want the best performance regardless. So would one go with the highest or just stick with 2133? Would getting the higher values be of any value?

i7-6700k (yes, I know unlocked, but wanted best)
Nvidia GTX980 Gaming 4 GB
Gigabyte Gaming 7 Rev1.0
Sandisk Ultra II 960 GB SSD
500 WDC Raptor
Unsure if 16-32 GB RAM as of yet.
Probably Windows 10.

Usually overclock nothing with great performance for myself, but wanted to know if higher RAM still worth it not overclocking.

Thanks for the advice in advance

RAM speed does make a difference in some games, but not all.

I recommend DDR4-3000 because it's right in the middle range and they are usually priced very well.

I bought G.Skill Ripjaws V 3000 15-15-15-35 RAM (2x8GB) for the system I built last week.
