I just built my new pc with windows 10 and it barely had any updates?

I just built my new pc and installed windows 10 64-bit on it, after installing the drivers I connected the pc to the internet and checked for updates, but it only downloaded 6 files, normally when building a new computer windows has about a hundred updates.

this is my first time using windows 10 so I am not familiar with it, all I did was went to the start menu and searched for windows update, and clicked on the windows update settings and updated it that way, it doesn look anything how windows update looked like in windows 7?

Did I go to the right place?

Win 10 is still new. There aren't a lot of old updates yet.

If you've got Internet access working during the install it actually searches for and installs updates and drivers as part of that process. That'll be why there were hardly any - they'd already been installed.

windows updates don't work like past updates, they come in update bundles for the most part. leave your pc on for the next few days and windows will keep downloading them when you're not doing anything, then rebooting when you're not doing anything. it will take a week or so before windows 10 will settle down.
