Please help choose LED monitor

I need to buy a new LED monitor and i have narrowed the search down to the following two:

1. Asus VX239H
2. Dell P2414H

I am currently in favour of going for the VX239H as it is an AH-IPS, has 2 HDMI ports.

I dont want to go for Dell P2414H because it does NOT have HDMI ports only DVI..and it is an IPS display NOT an AH-IPS display

As i will be using the LED for gaming I have read that for 1080p resolution HDMI gives better results as compared to DVI...can someone please confirm this??

Please give your opinions for the above mentioned LED's...

Also is 23" perfect for 1080p or will 27" be better..take into consideration that i will be sitting about 2 feet away from the LED..Will a 27" LED (ASUS VX279H) give me better visuals in gaming at 1080p and for everyday tasks???

What panel type do you want, are you set on IPS?

No, DVI-I/D and HDMI are both digital, the picture quality can't be different.

2 feet away, I think 24" is just fine.
