is there a significant difference between a 60Hz 1440p monitor and a 144Hz

Basically i currently have an asus 1440p 60Hz monitor. I was curious if I upgraded it to a 144Hz g sync monitor if I would really notice any differences? I have a titan x gpu and I mainly play starcraft 2 and Seige. Just curious if it would be worth the money since I currently have a 1440p 60Hz monitor..

yes you will notice a way smoother experiance especially in fast paced scenes. Once you go to 144hz 60hz seems really slow

Im assuming you do mean that its worth the upgrade for sure and that I will actually notice the difference?

I second firo40. After I swapped from a 60hz monitor to a 144hz monitor it was night and day difference between the two as long as you were able to pull a high frame-rate. I'd say it becomes very noticeable at around 80+ fps. I will never be going back to a 60hz monitor after using a 144hz. It makes the experience so much more immersive and fluid.

1440p is nice on a 27" screen and so still is 1080p resolution on the same monitor if you choose to go for more frames to reach 144Hz. Gsync is handy to have, operating range between 30(?) to 144Hz, can leave Vsync off in Nvidia CP and let your gpu run wild and have no screen tear.

L4D2 running in 144Hz obviously for the ease of getting constant high fps in my experience feels like absolute gliding on glass, looks extremely nice.

60Hz is hard to look at now.
