Not getting 4k only getting 2560x1440

Hello
Ive connected my 4k sony 50 inch tv to my computer and im not getting 4k on my pc the max is 2560x1440 on the windows slider
My graphics card is a MSI HD7970 Lightening BE
Its connected to the tv by a mini displayport to hdmi
HELP PLEASE

im only getting 2560x1440 when i activate super virtual resolution and if a disable it the max i get is 1920x1080

Change windows to 30Hz, can you pick 4k then?

theirs only 1 option of 60 hertz

nope its not working even on 30hertz or 50 hertz im not getting more then 2560x1440

Not sure what your technical problem is but if you intend to play games, a 7970 (which has roughly the performance of 770) is kinda weak for 4k.

Then again, so is every other card.

Some games won't load at resolutions at which they can not deliver satisfactory performance.

Might be the adapter, 30Hz would give me some indication but so does you still being limited. Going from mini-DP 1.2 to HDMI 2 should work but will depend on the adapter.

Club is the only adapter i've seen that seems to work.
