Triple 144 hz monitor setup on SLI asus 980 TI

Hello,

A friend of mine just ordered 3 benq xl2720z monitors to set up a triple monitor set up. They're on sli 980 ti cards. My question is whether the monitors will perform at 144 hz with only displayport cables or if they need dual dvi cables per monitor?

A single DP/DVI-D cable per monitor is fine.

Unfortunately he'll need a hell of a lot more than 2x 980's to get anywhere near 144 fps.
Try 3x 980ti's.

Thanks, they're already on a triple monitor setup but only on 60 hz monitors, 144 hz monitors won't decrease frame rate will they?

No, not at all. The refresh rate of a monitor does not really affect your FPS in games. It only affects the way your eyes see.
