Dual Monitors Affect fps?

I have two monitors, my main one is 1920x1080 and my second one is 1680x1050. I am only using my main monitor for gaming and my second monitor has random stuff on it. I was getting lower fps in bf4 but i dont know why. I am still only gaming with one monitor, is the second one taking up power

If that random stuff is doing something, yes. You can always check monitoring software to see cpu, ram, gpu, vram, etc. usage.
