QHD-laptop + external QHD display via HDMI = laggy!

Hi,

i bought a HP Envy (2015) with QHD-DISPLAY, Intel Core i7-5500U and Nvidia GeForce GTX 950M, because its one of the only ones with non-glare and QHD display...

I just added my old external screen (Full-HD) yesterday and it appears not sharp enough and the white was a little bit yellow.

So i decided to buy and add a QHD/4k external display (Acer CB240HYKbmjdpr) with HDMI to that laptop to get the real-deal (!!!) with two sharp QHD/4K displays.

And now my mouse on Windows 10 is really laggy on the external display

On the laptop-screen its "normal" but the experience on the external QHD is bad

Does anyone has an idea or can anyone help please?

Go into the control panel and make sure hz are Set to 60. It typically defaults to 30 hz which would make it seem very slow.

thanks for your answer, but the problem is, that you CANNOT change to 60Hz... My friend and coder told me, that HDMI cannot support so many pixel VIA HDMI and automatically downgrade to 30Hz, because the graphics-card has not enough power...

Any ideas?

Hdmi is very capable of delivering the pixels. It may be the cable being used. Verify that used is 1.4a compliant or greater.

i also tried a highspeed hdmi cable, but no difference

so do you think, its really the card, which has not enough power...?
