when i press the windows icon on the keyboard and on the screen the start menu and start screen do not come up

I have a windows 10 program on my hewlet Packard pavilion desktop and the start menu and start screen wont appear when I push the windows icon on the desktop or the keyboard. How can I fix this problem?

If you have no issues booting into your desktop/OS then please try a repair install and see if the issue is resolved.

Could you please pass on your pre-assembled HP desktops model number? Perhaps a BIOS update or some necessary drivers are amiss.
