ASUS VS247H DVI works, HDMI does not work, dual monitor setup

Hi, I have a dual monitor setup and when I try and connect the second monitor using a hdmi cable both monitors will not work. I have to unplug the HDMI one, reboot and then I can get my DVI monitor to work. I have a toshiba laptop new with a replicator station. I am on Window Professional 7. Any help would be appreciated.

Resolved the issue by changing the input on the monitor to HDMI, works now.
