I bought a windows 10 home OEM dvd with my new pc build. While opening the package of the dvd with a knife I accidentally and stupidly managed to scratch a long and deep scratch on the dvd. The installation of the dvd always froze at "getting windows files ready" at 46 %. I tried to reformat and reinstall it 4 times before I gave up. Now Im using a non licensed version I downloaded and burned my self. Is there a way to get the dvd replaced or download a licensed version and use the product key I got with my windows 10 home dvd?

You can download/ get any official Windows 10 installation media (for either disc or usb) and use your product key. As long it is Window 10 Home, you can use your product key.

I doubt you can get another disc for free.
