Hello gentlemans,

I decided I need a monitor upgrade, I am casual player, that likes to play games like CS:GO ( but not on pro level) ,GTA 5 and watching films. I decided that best panel for me will be IPS not TN , because everything will look better. But I cant decide which monitor should I buy? I am choosing beetween these two: 24" Dell S2415H or 24" AOC i2481FXH . They are both about 186 €, and that is my budget.

Thank you for all your time and help :).

It should not be as long as you have at least 60cm distance with your monitor, and the Hp is worth it to buy a bit bigger monitor than you originally wanted. But, in any case, I suggested Dell S2415H and S2316H as good alternatives.

Greetings. The dell is the better option of the two and one of your best options in general. Check however if HP 25xw is available in your place. It is the best 1080p option you can buy with the most accurate and vibrant colors, as well as excellent overdrive for minimal ghosting.

No it is not, the specified ms are irrelevant. Check for the 27" counter parts ( HP 27cw and xw), otherwise the Dell S2415H is a good monitor. The newer S2316H is also another good option, although I do not know how good it is compared to the others. My (educated) guess is that it will be inferior to these HPs and on par with the S2415H.

Manufacturers use cherry-picked pixel transitions with excessive overdrive that cause significant overshoot ghosting in order to measure a favorable response time. So, while it is not a lie, it is definately not the whole truth either.
