Hey guys,
I will be upgrading to 4K from my 32" 1080P TV. I already made a thread with some questions about the TV last week and I've been told that for a TV it has a decent response time but the colors aren't very good. It's the Samsung 40JU6400 while the montior I'm looking at is the Acer XB280HK. There are 2 reasons why I tend to go for the TV, one is the fact that the monitor is TN and the main one is the fact that 28" might be too small for me. I love gaming on this 32" TV but since I have a 980 Ti I just want to use it to its full potential and get something even better. After 2 years I finally finished my rig this month and since I'm verry happy with it it's time for a new display. I really want to know what would you guys recommend. The 40" might be a little too big for my room considering that my current TV and my 900D barely fit on my desk. On the other hand if I get the 28" monitor I can wall mount it using the same mount I use for my current TV then put my current TV somewhere else so that I can still watch TV on it.
I'm really torn guys, I mostly play FPS games but for a noob like me with a TV with higher response time I don't do too bad.
So should I get the 28" 4k monitor or the 40" 4K TV? Thanks

Solution
May I suggest a 40" 4k monitor.
http://www.amazon.com/Philips-BDM4065UC-Resolution-Speakers-DisplayPort/dp/B00SCX78JS/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1453738043&sr=1-1&keywords=philips+40+4k

It is a IPS type panel and can do 60fps with good color.
The stand is not very adjustable, so a wall mount would be excellent.
I have been pleased with mine.
I get a steady 60fps on the non shooter games I play.

There is also a seiki 39" 4k pro that should be similar, but I do not know the details on that.

Thanks man, it seems a good option. But what about the response time?

Well I might go for it. Quite honestly, cheaper than I expected.
But won't fit on my desk that well. Sorry for the quality of the pic but here's my ugly setup I plan to fit this on

I see your issue.
You will have it regardless of what you do.

I have both the 40" Phillips and a 30" monitor wall mounted side by side.
I used this ergotron wall mount.
It has a good range to extend from the wall and tilt.
But only 5" up and down.

It is a very high quality piece of work.

Looking at your set up, I might suggest placing the pc case on the floor under the table.
It is nice to show off the internal lights and stuff, but do you really need to.
With a wall mount, you can fit the existing tv on the side.
