I'm thinking about building a new pc, and would like to sell my old one to help finance the new one. I realize it wont be a huge amount, but better that then let it gather dust/toss it. I believe selling part by part is best in this case, so I'd like an estimate on each component.
My specs are:

Processor -------Core i5-2500K @ 3.30GHz, 3301 Mhz, 4 Core, 4 Logical
Graphics card==evga 560 ti
power supply:-- ocz500mxsp
Memory ======8Gigs ddr3 Gskill sniper
motherboard-----msi h67mse43 b3

No overclocking or anything like that done with any part. Been using a g-lite cooler master case (also for sale if desired) with a intake fan in lower front and exhaust in upper back, so they've had good airflow. No problems with anything, can run whatever checks are requested, or give whatever info I may have missed.
Thanks

I think it would be best to sell the cpu and board together, cause once u get rid of the cpu you will have a harder time getting rid of the board, the problem is its a overclocking cpu and a non overclocking board so higher chances someone just wants the cpu. I've seen locally to me i7 3770/4790k going for $150-200, and saw a 2500k that sold for $100, so Id look to get 125-150 for the cpu or 175 with the board, you can get new 8gb ddr3 for $30 so prob $20-25. Ive bought a used gtx 570 for $50 once and $100 about a year ago, as well as a 580 and 480 for $100 off craigslist. Ive also recently sold a 7970 for $110 and bought a gtx 770 for $95 so the 560ti is prob $50, and the psu for being ocz and kind of old, id say maybe $25.

For the...

Maybe $180-$200. Post it on Craigslist and see what offers are made.

Sorry I forgot to specify I am selling just those parts, not the hard drives. I think I would only be able to sell this piece by piece, if what ive seen from other people doing this is anything to go by. You got an idea on each item by itself? I'll definitely post to craigslist, but i'd like a solid opinion on their worth first. I simply have no clue

For the cpu, board, ram, and gpu you could start your asking price 10-20 higher because everyone will try to lower on what you post it at, and if you say firm they will most likely not buy it, people always need to seem that they are getting a deal.

Great! that's just the info I was looking for. on a side note, is OCZ bad? I ask because currently looking at new components and idk if I should avoid them then. I would assume people are rarely interested in new power supplies anyhow.

they are owned by toshiba now, and they had a bad reputation before with failure in their ssds, but my friend has owned one of their psus that is still going strong so there not terrible, but id look at corsair, evga, seasonic, xfx right now for a new psu and yes most people r looking for a new psu.

Typo, I meant not-new psu's. I remember my old one nearly killed my previous build. I'll soon post my build on the forum and get started, thanks for all the info!

If you are selling that motherboard separately I would be interested to hear how much. I have an i7 2600k looking for a home. PM works fine too.

cool, I had meant to wait and put all this up on a actual "for sale" thread since I want to get my new machine up before I dismantle the old one, which wont be for a week or two. If you can wait, I'll definitely get back to you
