Best Monitor (1440p or 4k)

Hell! I'm looking for an upgrade from my Acer predator xb270hu. I really liked the xb270hu with 1440p, IPS, and 144hz refresh rate. I am looking for something similar in 4k format. I have 2 msi gtx 980 to gaming 6's and a i7-6700k. Don't really have a budget. Thanks.

As youve already got one of the best gaming monitors you can currently get, I would suggest waiting out for 4k to become more developed, and for it to be more of a focus for game developers.

Right now, you're locked in to 60hz or less - so back to 60fps for you - and most games are not optimised for 4k at all, which results in things like very poor performance, tiny UIs and HUDs, or just no support at all.

If you really want a monitor upgrade, then I'd say the Acer Predator X34 is most 'sensible' choice.

Smaller 4k monitors leave you with tiny text.
40" gives you about the same text size as a 27" 1440P

Thanks for the help I was looking at it before. I love acer monitors the only downside is if you get one with a lot of back light bleed but I've been lucky.
